Simmons: Better projects help Sun City property values

Posted

I have lived at 10064 Alabama Ave. for 33 years and have seen a lot of harebrained ideas generated from the many new residents who literally come and go from one house to another over the years.
This one generated by Ms. Partridge (“I hear that train a coming,” Sun City Independent, Sept. 18, 2019) truly takes the cake in respect to cost and need.
The only significant change is the median strip tree planting and landscaping done by the county and the PRIDES. This is a professional project not costing taxpayers an extra cent while enhancing our property values.
Establishing a quiet zone falls into the same category as speed bumps on Alabama, Avenue, another harebrained proposal generated by another Alabama Avenue Johnny-Come-Lately.
