A Veterans Benefit Expo originally scheduled Thursday, March 26 at the Sun City West Foundation, Webb Room, 14465 N. R.H. Johnson Blvd., has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
Organizers in an email on March 12 wrote “based on the CDC Guidelines and other information, we must cancel our Veterans Benefits Expo.” They did express hope to re-schedule at a later date, when veterans, their families and caregivers are encouraged to attend to learn and share information about available services in the Valley.
Representatives from these and many other organizations will be on hand to provide information, determine VA eligibility, assist filing VA claims, explain aid and attendance requirements and benefits, and provide other information and programs available to veterans and seniors, their families, and caregivers: Veterans Affairs; Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services; The Reveille Foundation; Benevilla; Be Connected; VA Vet Center; Infinity Hospice Care; The American Legion; Disabled American Veterans; Vietnam Veterans of America; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Fire and Medical Authority; SCW Posse; Surprise Police Department; and Northwest Valley Connect.
When re-scheduled, no appointment will be needed; walk-ins welcome.
