Rosalie Bornzin

Posted

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce that our blessed mother, Rosalie Bornzin, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Rosalie embraced her family and many friends with her remarkable blend of fun-loving spirit and her thoughtful gestures of care and generosity.
She was the strong core of her family, cherished by her 3 daughters, Bonnie, Merrilee and Bobbi, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one new great-great grandchild.
Rosalie was proceeded in death by her loving husband Verl. Their adventures together included river-rafting with friends, a riverboat cruise down the Mississippi, RV trips, traveling abroad and other cruises. They enjoyed partying with friends, entertaining in their home while preparing festive meals together. They loved fishing, looking forward to their yearly Spring and Fall bass-fishing time together at Boot Lake.
An accomplished Real Estate salesperson for many years, Rosalie received many Top-Producer awards for her achievement. Her commitment to her clients led to many lasting and rewarding friendships.
Sharing her many interests and talents kept her busy. “I’ll never be bored” was her frequent mantra.
She was fulfilled by her interesting life of varied interests and many talents. In her high school orchestra, she played first-chair violin. In later years, her soprano voice participated in holiday productions of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. She returned home to host festive memorable Christmas Eve celebrations for her family. Her masterful extensive decorations were joyously breathtaking, her set tables and flower arrangements stunning, colorful layered napkins with chocolate favors at each place. Rosalie was a master, gathering family and friends into her home while welcoming them into her heart.
Rosalie’s appreciation for color and flowers led her to her enjoyment of taking photographs of her surroundings. Unexpected rainbows, colorful flower groupings, single blooms of her roses, interesting cumulus clouds and gorgeous local sunsets were her forte. She shared her lovely photos, creating thoughtful greeting cards with photographs and calligraphy. Her inspired messages were heartfelt, thoughtful and sensitive. She branded her cards “God’s Wonderful World”. They were symbolic of her kind heart.
Remembered for her beautiful smile, her vibrant spirit and her loving support, She was a loving “Mom” and “Grams” baking cookies, decorating Easter Eggs, giving hugs … and endless memories.
