The Rhythm Ramblers, Sun City’s original big band, will hold a Valentine’s concert and dance Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. Doors will open at 2 p.m and music will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. Drinks and snacks may be brought in; cups and ice will be provided.
The band will perform love songs and dance tunes from the big band era, including “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime,” “Young at Heart,” “My Funny Valentine” and many others.
More than 60 Recreation Centers of Sun City cardholders have joined the Rhythm Ramblers club since Jan. 1. Cardholders may join at the door by filling out a short form and paying $10 annual dues. Membership includes free admission to dances on the first Tuesday of each month from January through April and October through December. Single-dance admission is $5 for RCSC cardholders and $7 for escorted guests.
