Rhythm Ramblers conclude season with Sun City show

Posted

The Rhythm Ramblers, Sun City’s original big band, will conclude its winter season with an eclectic mix of big band music April 1 in the Sundial Auditorium, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. Music for listening and dancing will start at 2:30 p,m. Drinks and snacks may be brought in; cups and ice will be provided.

“This show consists of tunes that didn’t fit one of our themed dances,” explained Music Director Bryan Altherr. “But these ‘Square Pegs’ are still great tunes, and they work surprisingly well together.”

Vocalists Jane Higgs, Jim Lee and Lynn Altherr will be featured, along with several instrumental soloists.

Recreation Centers of Sun City cardholders may join the Rhythm Ramblers Club at the door by filling out a short form and paying $10 annual dues. Membership includes admission to the dance and First Tuesday dances in October, November and December. Single-dance admission is $5 for RCSC cardholders and $7 for escorted guests. Reservations are recommended for parties of four or more.

Call Lynn Altherr at 602-909-7586 to reserve a table.
