Jody Johnson, regent for the Daughters of the American Revolution, Estrella Chapter, presented a Community Service Award to Sally Pavia at the West Valley Genealogical Society’s monthly meeting March 9.

Ms. Pavia volunteers many hours to various genealogical groups throughout metro Phoenix but is especially active in the Pioneer Cemetery Association. She has also been instrumental in many educational activities with the genealogical society. Women that can trace their ancestry to an American Revolution patriot are welcome to attend our meetings and events.

Estrella Chapter meets the second Thursday of the month, October-May, at the Sun City West Foundation, 14465 W. R.H. Johnson Blvd. Social hour begins at noon and the formal business meeting begins at 1 p.m.
