The Sun City Clay Club will host its 32nd annual Premier Pottery Show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, March 1 in the social halls of Lakeview Recreation Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Ave., Sun City.

The show is open to the public.

One of the social halls will be the place for the club sales, which are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, hours to be announced later. Qualified judges from outside the club will be judging and awarding ribbons.

The club’s clay artists have been creating and firing many forms, functional pottery and decorative pieces to carry out the theme “Around the World in Clay.” Artists work in differing ways, including hand building, the wheel, and making mosaics to name a few.

Sun City Clay Club members work in slab clay. Classes offered in hand building, wheel throwing and sculpture. There are some evening classes, and off-season classes offered in October and January. There are numerous workshops of all skill levels throughout the year. Club members can sell pieces at the club or elsewhere within certain RCSC rules and regulations.
