Pratt: Short-term rentals bring in problems to Sun City

Posted

I live in Sun City near 99th Avenue and Royal Oak.

We say no to short-term rentals.

The reason is because we bought homes in Sun City to retire and relax in a quite, clean, maintained surrounding.

Our experience has not been positive when living near rental properties. The pride and upkeep of the properties is not there that ownership of a home generates.

We are in our 70s and need quiet time around responsible neighbors. Rentals reduce property values around them because many times the maintenance is not kept up with.

We hope and pray that rental properties are voted into our quite retirement areas.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,

Wynn and Karen Pratt

Sun City
