Players’ Broadway revue opens March 13

Sun City Players Community Theater opens “Broadway on 107th Avenue” 7 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Mountain View Recreation Center auditorium, 9749 N. 107th Ave., Sun City.

The original musical, co-directed by Dan See and Ginni Summers, plays through Sunday, March 22. Reserved seats are $10 and are available at suncityplayerscommunitytheater.org.

Shows continue 7 p.m. March 14, 20 and 21, and 2 p.m. March 15, 19 and 22.

The cast includes James Borgmann, Eric Emerson, Linda Forrand, Celeste Hyland, Herb Hyland, Marilyn LeClair, Patty Mason, Jim McConnell, Annette McConnell, Marilyn Moore, Tommie Sebring, Annette See, Sandi Stanton, Ginni Summers and Tom Swenson along with narrator Greg Engstrom. The accompanist is Floyd Ellison, and band musicians are John Clark and Jack Jackino.

Songs and dances from 17 of the 26 previously produced musicals by Sun City Players are showcased. Solos, duets, small-group numbers and full company numbers will be featured.

Audiences at the two Friday evening performances will enjoy a champagne reception starting 6:15 p.m., featuring the arrival of all performers by limos to walk the red carpet and mingle with the audience before the show.

Tickets also available from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, March 19 at Fairway Recreation Center, 10600 W. Peoria Ave., Sun City.
