Peloquin: Behavior getting worse in Sun City

Posted

Hi, I read your article about crime in sun cities.

I read police logs in the Independent and its getting worse an worse. Now I am a victim.

I attended a funeral four weeks ago and after the service my golf car was stolen from the parking lot. Of course, I had the keys with me and when parked thought I was in safe place. I am still emotionally affected. It was reported but the sheriff’s deputies were pretty sure I’ll never get it back. Just finished with insurance but I’m so nervous getting another cart.

The one I had was 2016, now I am buying a 1993, a clunker. I’ll call it thinking no one will steal it.

I am not sure what we can do take the Sun Cities back. A good start would be no drug rehabs, get homeless riff raff out of our area by any means. Something needs to change before people start getting hurt.

I am still trying to recover from this. I am a 62-year-old man. I have lived in Sun City six years. I bought a home and work in Sun City.

Just want people to know we are not safe any more in Sun City!
