Palo Verde Artists name artist of the month
Posted
Terri Lewis is originally from Washington state but moved to Arizona about 11 years ago to escape the rainy climate. She comes from a family of artists and has been an artist most of her life. Although she has worked in several art mediums, her specialty is pastels, which she typically applies on linen.
“Pastel painting has been a passion of mine for several years,” states Lewis. “I think painting on linen is an interesting and creative method that is similar to oil painting.”
In addition to pastels, she creates some of her works in pencil and in ink. Lewis is an award-winning artist and has sold many of her works. She won first place for pastels at the Glendale Art Show in 2022. Her work will be on display in the showcase outside the Palo Verde Artists club room at Sundial Recreation Center during the month of April. Visit her website, artistterrilee.faso.com.
Membership in Palo Verde Artists is $10 per year and is open to RCSC cardholders only. Visit paloverdeartists.com.
