Sun City golfer unhappy with Rec Centers after injury

I have been golfing for 27 years in Sun City. I have always bought a season golf pass which comes due in the month of November, just before Thanksgiving.
In the middle of February 2025, I got a pain in my left hip and was unable to play. I went to a pain center and received a shot, which had no effect on the pain.
I was then advised to get an MRI and see a hip doctor. The doctor ordered an X-ray, and the final result was that I needed a hip replacement.
I went to the Rec Center, thinking I could get some kind of rebate back on my golf card.
They said I needed to get a doctor's signature that I had not been able to play golf for three months, which I did. When I took it back to the Rec Center, they said, "Oh, it had to have the date of my injury and it had to be within three months of my golf card renewal. They did not tell me that to start with, So, I guess now I am out $1,800.
If the Rec Center didn't want to give me anything, why didn't they just say so, instead of coming up with a bunch of two-bit phony excuses.
