Nessler: Statements about Sun City signs not logical

Weekly I read the Letters to the Editor to see what our neighbors in Sun City are thinking.
This week I was rewarded. Kudos to Teresa (“Sign stealing breaks state laws,” Sun City Independent, Oct. 14, 2020). I think you were correct in documenting and reporting the crime. Like you, I doubt the perpetrator was in support of Biden.
Mr. Scott’s response (“Only one side to blame,” Sun City Independent, Oct. 14, 2020) to the hateful behavior, in the best light, is confusing and appears to be a bit paranoid. The existing law was either violated or it was not.
We all need to keep in mind regardless of one’s political affiliation, the law is the law. Mr. Scott’s response appears to mimic our current president’s responses to events. Just listen to the 20,000-plus untrue, conspiracy laden and paranoid statements by our president since his election. They don’t make any sense either.
