The Del Webb Sun Cities Museum, 10801 W. Oakmont Drive, will partner with the CARS Club of Sun Cities to present “A Salute to America’s Fascination with Automobiles.”
The event is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 in the parking lot between the museum and Oakmont Center, 10725 W. Oakmont Drive.
Dozens of fully restored classic automobiles will be on display for attendees to get an up-close look at some of the most popular cars built over the past century. Gourmet ice cream pops from Frios will be for sale throughout the day. Admission is free to the event, as well as to the museum that day.
The museum’s mission is to preserve and promote the history of Sun City and Sun City West. Owned and operated by the nonprofit Sun Cities Historical Society, the museum is located in one of the first five model homes built when Sun City opened in 1960.
