Miller: Don’t take anger out on golfers in Sun City

Geeez people, do your research before making claims about how the virus situation is handled, would you please?
To Phil Schoen in recent opinion (“Pools open but fitness not is silly,” Sun City Independent, July 8, 2020), if you had asked about golf usage you would have been educated about how the golf course is handling the virus restrictions.
No, we don’t touch the flagpoles, they are fixed into the hole and we putt at the hole without touching the pole at all. Never touched.
You are dead wrong in using golf as an example as to why you should have the fitness center open.
Golf ball touching? Hey, golf haters everywhere, we pick up our own golf balls since I don’t have a caddy and have never seen one at Sun City golf courses.
I hope the track is opened soon for you soon, Phil, but don’t use the golf course as a way to get what you want. Those are two different animals. We are not allowed in the clubhouse without a mask and everyone follows that rule because our great employees enforce it.
Your opinion article has a lot of flaws, Phil. Do your research before spouting off about golf. Us golfers are sick of that.
