MCSO investigating possible murder-suicide in Sun City

Posted

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder-suicide in northern Sun City.

Deputies were called to a home in the 10300 W. Block of Sutters Gold Lane about 11:07 p.m. June 19 in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered three people who had been shot: one woman who was pronounced dead at the scene; a man with life-threatening injuries, who was transported to a nearby hospital; and a third person officials say they believe died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Deputies administered emergency aid to the victim found alive until fire department personnel arrived on scene.

Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the location and assumed the investigation. At this time in the investigation, given preliminary findings, MCSO homicide is investigating this as a murder-suicide.

MCSO had not released the names of the victims in the case as of Friday.
