The efforts of Marines from Luke Air Force Base have brought in, at last count, 5,000 toys for the local Toys for Tots Foundation.
The collection drive included the 4th Annual Toys for Tots Golf Tournament at Union Hills Country Club, 9860 W. Lindgren Ave., Sun City, as well as the collection site at Palmbrook Country Club, 9350 W. Greenway Road, Sun City.
In 2018, the effort raised 50,079 toys which were distributed to 16,804 kids throughout Maricopa County.
The United States Marine Corps Reserve Unit stationed at Luke AFB (USMCR) has served the Toys for Tots program and the 9,400 square miles of Maricopa County in the past, present, and will do so in the future.
