Posted
World War II United States Navy veteran Robert “Bob” McCracken recently celebrated his 100th birthday at the Royal Oaks Retirement Center. Members of the Sun City National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Agua Fria Chapter, were invited by Hillsboro, Ill. NSDAR Christiana Tilson Chapter member and McCracken’s niece, Christine Garner, to help her uncle celebrate this milestone.
Agua Fria Chapter Regent Twila Lobitz presented McCracken with a U.S. flag lapel pin, a U.S. flag, a special birthday card and a NSDAR WW II veteran certificate to honor his service.
Many family members from different parts of the country were present to help McCracken celebrate and all family members present were also given U.S. flag pins by the Sun City NSDAR Chapter.
