Local artists present work in Sun City

Posted

Peggy Juneau, Janice Rouen-Lydon, Aileen Garvey, Deb Dahlin and Richard Hofmann have teamed up to present a show of new, original works at the Royal Oaks Art Gallery in Sun City.

The show, inside the main Royal Oaks building at 10015 W. Royal Oak Road, is open 1-3 p.m. daily through March 28.

Juneau (Blackfoot/San Carlos Apache) specializes in Native themed mixed-media art. Rouen-Lydon is a watercolorist and acrylic artist who uses color to create vibrant compositions. Garvey is an oil painter who uses her talent and understanding of color to create scenes with horses and native wildlife of Arizona. Dahlin uses pastel, acrylic and alcohol ink to interpret southwest landscapes and flowers of Arizona. And Hofmann creates landscapes in pencil and acrylics.

All five have been members of the Artists by the Lake Club and Palo Verde art clubs of Sun City.
