The Sun City Early Bird Lions were presented the third place award for bell ringing at the Northwest Salvation Army awards luncheon March 22.

The motto of the Lion’s Club is “We Serve” and ringing bells during the Christmas season for the Salvation Army is just one way the Early Bird Lions serve.

The club invites residents to join them in serving the community. The Sun City Early Bird Lions meet 8 a.m. on the first and third Friday of the month at Royal Cafe, 10793 Grand Ave.

Call Lion Louie Lyon at 623-238-8455 for more information.
