Lesko donates to Banner Boswell, enlists Peoria restaurant
Posted
Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) donated lunch to health care heroes working at Banner Health Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, May 12.
“Our health care heroes are working day and night to keep our communities safe, so it was the least I could do to bring them lunch and say thank you,” Congresswoman Lesko said in a news release. “In the process, I was also able to support a local small business, Ballpark Pizza & Subs, in Peoria as they navigate this difficult time.”
Lesko donated meals for 100 health care workers. Ballpark is a family-owned restaurant that has been a staple in the community for 14 years. The owner, Aaron Franklin, is a third generation Arizonan. His wife is a teacher at Oasis Elementary School in Peoria and his mother is a nurse who worked at Banner Health Boswell Medical Center for many years.
