Latin American duet kicks off Lunchtime Theater in Surprise

Opera, comedy, Latin and holiday classics are included in the Lunchtime Theater season lineup.

Surprise in partnership with the West Valley Arts Council and hosted at the Arts HQ Gallery, presents a diverse and intimate experience among the visual and performing arts.

Arizona talent from the Phoenix Opera to local jazz trios and theater groups perform in an afternoon one-hour show once a month from October-April.

Performances are from noon to 1 p.m., Thursdays at Arts HQ, 16126 N. Civic Center Plzaza.

Open seating begins at 11:30.

Shows are on the following dates:

  • Oct 12 — Q’iru Duet: Latin American Music
  • Nov. 9 — John Fitzsimmons: The Comedy Trickster
  • Dec. 14 — West Valley Chorale: Holiday Favorites
  • Jan. 25 — Phoenix Opera: My Favorite Things
  • Feb. 22 — We3: Jazz and Blues Trio
  • March 14 — West Valley Symphony: Cal’s Jazz Combo
  • April 11 — New Carpa Theater: Right Turns

Tickets are $15 per performance and can be reserved at WestValleyArts.org/Theater or by calling 623-584-2626.

Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch.
