Junk journal class gathers every month at Ground Floor
Posted
Ground Floor Artists, 13343 W. Foxfire Drive, Suite 3, will begin a new class meeting monthly in August.
The Artsy Junk Journal with Dr. Karen Izzi combines elements of mixed media, book making, paper craft, collage and meditation is set to meet on the following days from
9 a.m. until noon: Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.
Each class costs $50 and includes all supplies.
Junk journals are books made from a variety of papers, including junk mail, wrapping paper, maps, coloring pages, envelopes, recycled materials, etc.
Students are invited to explore, create and let go. Register today for one (or all) of these reoccurring workshops.
Make a junk journal while exploring collage and mixed media techniques using a variety of pens, markers, papers, and paints. Learn how how different styles of music affect the pages too.
Materials are provided but participants are asked to bring their favorite photos and papers to work with.
