A reminder to Sun City residents that the “Ring That Bell” event, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, has been canceled due to coronavirus precautions.

The all-day event was to take place 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Bell Center, 16820 N. 99th Ave., Sun City.

An annual tradition in Sun City to celebrate Independence Day, the big event was to include a picnic with music and dancing at Bell Lanes, 16810 N. 99th Ave., Sun City, with free bowling, darts, billiards and shuffleboard.

Donations at the event were to support the Sun City Foundation, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd., for the benefit of the Recreation Centers of Sun City.
