Independent Newsmedia presents Stars of Sun City – a special community recognition where readers may vote for their favorite businesses within their neighborhoods.
Readers may vote once a day for their favorite local businesses or community resources. There are 21 categories.
“It’s meant to be a fun and healthy competition,” said Publisher Charlene Bisson. “We hope to create some excitement and awareness for the businesses within the boundaries of Sun City.”
Top vote-getters in each category will be recognized in a special commemorative section in April in the Sun City Independent as well as yearlong recognition on the Daily Independent at YourValley.net. The newsroom will contact the top three favorite businesses to shine like a star.
“We’re firm believers that all businesses are important within Sun City,” Ms. Bisson explained. “We want to do our part in encouraging continued economic success during this pandemic by highlighting some in this friendly competition.”
First-place winners will receive a framed award certificate to display in a prominent location in their business. The top three businesses can use the Stars of Sun City logo in their marketing materials for one full year.
“Don’t hesitate to encourage your customers to vote,” said Advertising Director Barb Wandling. “Best of luck on becoming a Star of Sun City.”
