Name: Brian Hoffart.

Age: 56.

Business name: NEXA Mortgage, LLC, 3100 W. Ray Road, No. 210 office No. 209, Chandler; cell 971-288-6880 or office 623-292-4243; email bhoffart@nexamortgage.com or website bestloanexperience.com.

Town/neighborhood: All of Arizona, Georgia and Oregon. Focus is on Sun City West and surrounding communities.

Personal background highlights: Grew up in a small town in North Dakota less than 60 miles south of the Canada border. Youngest of four children. Worked for my father’s construction company. Went to college at North Dakota State University for business administration and computer science. Moved to Oregon after I got married to be near my family and for the job opportunities. We pretty much lived there for 35 years except for a couple of years we lived in Southern California while I went to Bible college in the mid to late 1990s. Moved to Arizona in 2021 to begin to set the stage for when we retire. Although I’m not sure if I will ever truly retire, just refocus.

Professional background highlights: Started my professional career as a purchasing agent for a national grocery distributor in Oregon and after about a year moved into computer operations and programming. I switched companies and began working for Oregon Catholic Press as programmer/network administrator. I helped design and implement a network system that allowed them to do digital typesetting and publishing. From there I went to Reser’s Fine Foods to be their network manager and helped them to design and implement a companywide network to automate administration and production. I started my own computer consulting company that designed and managed networks for small to large companies throughout the Portland metropolitan area. I switched careers to real estate and I became a principal broker. I spent the next 20 years in real estate where I helped clients buy and sell all types of real estate. After recovering from health problems, I began to switch my career to lending and financing.

What I do: I am a brokering loan officer and a certified mortgage advisor. I am not a traditional loan officer as I do not work for a bank selling only their loan products. I work with more than 180 different lenders. I have been extensively trained as an expert advisor who helps clients understand how to use mortgage debt to build sustainable, lifelong wealth. I help clients wisely manage their debt and utilize all types of loans, including commercial, business, conventional, fix and flip, investment, reverse mortgage, FHA, VA and many more.

What I like most about doing business here: The people, businesses and overall community. Everyone is friendly, help each other, look out for each other and genuinely want to share life together.

Where I was before and why I left: Previously I worked as a real estate broker. I’m still licensed and can still help people with real estate, but I focus on using that experience to help people get loans and build wealth through wisely managing their debt.

Changes I would like to see in this area: A greater connection between the residents, businesses and supporting nonprofit organizations, which is why I joined ABCs.

Favorite community cause and why: Using my business success and life resources to help support other organizations within my community, both locally and globally, through the blessings God has entrusted to me, to fight and overcome human suffering by supporting humanitarian relief to physical and social needs using business loans, job training, medical care, community services, shelter, sharing of clothing, food, water and other needed resources.

My family: Me and my wife, Lisa.

Interests and hobbies: I enjoy cars, racing, hiking, the outdoors, golf, reading, drawing, going on walks with my wife, missions work both locally through our local church and internationally through partnerships with mission organizations.

Who inspires me and why: There are so many people that inspire me in life. The main one is Jesus Christ for what I feel are obvious reasons, he perfectly embodies the rest of this answer.

My guiding philosophy: Love God with all my heart, soul and mind and others as I would love myself.

My advise to today’s youth: Don’t leave God out of your life.
