Ground Floor Artists is a nonprofit art center in Surprise features a gallery, Artisan Boutique, art classes and 29 resident art studios open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
This May and June, Ground Floor hosts its annual membership show in the beautiful gallery. Ground Floor Artists is a membership art organization and currently has more than 180 members.
Ground Floor Artists is located at 13343 W Foxfire Drive, Suite No. 3 in Surprise. It is just north of Bell on Dysart Road — Dysart turns into Foxfire about two blocks from Bell Road.
Membership starts at $50 a year and includes members’ personal page on its website www.groundfloorartists.com, representation year round in the building, the ability to sell small artworks in the Artisan Boutique and free quarterly meetings about art marketing and growing as an artist.
Ground Floor Artist also hosts two art fairs a year, the next one on Saturday, Nov. 5. Look forward to the 2022 Gallery Shows in July and August “Studios 29” featuring the artworks of GFA’s resident artists, “Open Minds” in September and October wherein artworks in mixed mediums, encaustics and assemblage art pieces will be displayed.
In November and December, the “Small Works” gallery show will be including all art pieces under 12”x12”s. These smaller artworks will be perfect for gifts and fit even homes where long time collections fill the house already.
Visit Ground Floor Artists’ website under “classes” to sign up for drawing, painting, clay, fiber arts, décor, jewelry and book binding. Classes are added weekly and fill up fast.
Located in an industrial building, Ground Floor artists in residence studios that are easy to look into and watch at work. The artists are open to visit with the public.
