Goodfield: Our treatment offers hope, healing to those with PTSD

Posted

I founded the Goodfield Institute LLC in the USA and The Netherlands and am also founder and CEO of Operation New Outlook, a nonprofit organization that works for and with veterans, first responders and their families to enhance their quality of life by treating post-traumatic stress.

Our work is based on the unique, patented psychotherapeutic process, which I developed. It is a precision-targeted, medication-free way to help for example victims of sexual violence, post-traumatic stress and relationship problems.

Families, individuals, children, first responders, veterans and active military personnel have all received our help through the years. We work together with our clients to develop healthier strategies to achieve success in life and in relationships. The Goodfield Method has developed a unique way of helping a spouse or family members through the grieving process after losing someone by death.

Our process literally “sees” the unconscious via a videographic process so sensitive it can detect even the briefest, most subtle facial responses to stimuli sometimes within a tenth of a second.
These unvoiced facial reactions are known as nonverbal leaks, or NVLs. Because they are generated unconsciously, their appearance cannot be prevented, controlled or manipulated in any way.

They are what they are. The truth as the person knows it — pure, spontaneous, involuntary — and intimately revealing. When observed in the course of client counseling, the trained therapist can explore these leaks to more quickly identify and isolate the exact right “anxiety triggers” on which to base a customized remedial strategy.

Key advantages to our method is quick treatment time, medication-free and effective — get to the core and it’s over (Like a dentist pulling a tooth once).

Operation New Outlook plans to obtain funding needed to conduct a clinical pilot test of a unique cognitive behavioral therapy approach referred to as The Goodfield Method. The test will compare the benefits this method can provide to veterans or first responders diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder or mild traumatic brain injury.

Our test will provide a detailed diagnostic picture of what goes on in the body and brain as people heal from PTSD. With the incorporation of The Goodfield Method as a psychotherapeutic tool, we are convinced that we will be able to diagnose and treat veterans and first responders more efficiently, briefly and effectively than conventional treatment methods permit.

Time from first intake to diagnosis and treatment will be cut significantly and the cost for treatment per veteran will be reduced significantly.

We are in of financial help from so-called “angles” and volunteers to have this test done.
