Golden Lopes free finance class for seniors
Explores inflation, interest rates, international impact

Money talk is important, especially on a fixed income.
As the U.S waits for the next inflation rate update. Grand Canyon University is helping lifelong learners understand this complex subject matter in a free class.
Golden Lopes is a free educational series for parents, grandparents, or friends of the Lope community 55 and older, to develop skills on finances. The class , “The ‘I’s Have It!” explores inflation, interest rates and international impact, led by a Colangela College of Business finance professor.
The next class is available 9:15-10:45 a.m., Monday, Nov. 7 at Grand Canyon University, 3300 W. Camelback Road.
Additional classes will be available in the next semester.
Golden Lopes is the brainchild of Homer Drew, the former college basketball coach and father of GCU’s men’s coach Bryce Drew. Inspired by the energetic students on GCU’s campus, Drew says Golden Lopes is designed to give older students a chance to experience the young energy of the private-Christian university.
