“Understanding Dementia — A Challenging Journey” is the topic of a special Hospice of the Valley community presentation 9 a.m.-noon Monday, Jan. 27, at Lord of the Life Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West.

Leading the presentation is Maribeth Gallagher, who directs Hospice of the Valley’s Dementia Program, recognized nationally and internationally for its approaches to dementia care.

A continental breakfast will be provided.
