Residents are invited to help the Arizona Eye Institute and Cosmetic Laser Center celebrate the start of its 31st year of business during its annual gala.

The event is scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, March 6 at the institute’s Sun City West location, 19052 R.H. Johnson Blvd. The gala will feature live music from the band YesterYear, food trucks, several raffles, meet and greet with all the institute’s doctors and providers and live demonstrations of the most popular beauty products, including injectables, fillers, Obagi Blue Peel and permanent makeup by Stephanie Morlock, CPCP.

“The year 2020 sets the tone for learning new ways to achieve that perfect vision for your best quality eyesight, confidence and well-being,” Dr. Emilio Justo, Arizona Eye Institute founder and medical director, stated in a press release. “After 31 years serving this community’s health and beauty needs, we want to celebrate with you at this fun event!”

The Arizona Eye Institute also has a location in Sun City, 10701 W. Bell Road.

During the gala, institute staff will live stream an upper eyelid surgery to the crowd to watch live from the surgery center at the Sun City West location. This outpatient laser procedure is often authorized through insurance providers, according to Dr. Justo.

“That is because in removing the excess droopy skin and tissue underneath, we achieve not only beautiful results, but often dramatically improved vision,” he stated.

The surgery, as well as the other products and services, demonstrated during the gala helps both men and women regain confidence and feel good about themselves, in addition to having incredibly improved vision, according to Dr. Justo.

Institute medical optometrists, Dr. Manuel Zambrano, OD, and Dr. Mark Yates, OD, will also be available, along with Dr. Justo, to talk about breakthrough technology in cataract surgery and new ways to finally treat dry eye syndrome.

“The year 2020 means we have reached a modern age that affords us opportunities that mean we can achieve greater vision improvement than ever before,” Dr. Justo stated. “For instance, we now can implant a trifocal intraocular lens during your cataract surgery to provide you a dramatically improved full range of vision for the first time ever. There are many things that can be done to restore your vision these days, and ensure your quality of life and even independence is at its finest in this year 2020.”

So as we celebrate having passed the 30 year milestone into our 31st year, and look forward to many more, I invite you to look at the possibilities in 2020 for renewed and restored vision. Let’s make 2020 a year worth celebrating! I hope to see you there.
