Election system audits are a waste of Maricopa County taxpayers’ money

Posted

After reading Brent Ruffner's article, New supervisors for Maricopa County sworn in, on the front page of the Jan. 15 edition of the Sun City Independent:

I’m amazed that some political leaders in Arizona can’t accept voting results when they don’t go their way. Funds needed for education, Medicaid, etc. shouldn’t be used for election system audits. What do audits accomplish? Nothing.

Every previous audit failed to prove voter fraud. There have been no irregularities, no questionable tactics. Nothing.

We need to expand Medicaid for families and seniors. Yes, seniors have Medicare; however, emergency room charges, copays, etc., take a horrendous chunk out of the wallets of seniors who are on fixed incomes.

This is what our so-called leadership needs to concentrate on, not audits or other foolishness.

I urge our new supervisors to lobby the Legislature to expand Medicaid. The people need it, and we demand it.
