Sun City Dermatology, 13843 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West is scheduling again for in-house elective procedures using COVID-19 safety precautions and is now offering Telehealth appointments.
The two-year-old practice, located in Suite 101, has an in-house board-certified dermatologic surgeon, a Mohs surgeon to handle complex skin cancer cases and an esthetician.
“We’re excited to offer elective cosmetic services again, but we also want to remind everyone that summer is upon us,” said Sarah Neumann, PA-C, SCD manager. “If you have been holding off going to the doctor due to COVID-19 concerns, now is the time to get your skin cancer check-up.”
The office, which has remained open for skin cancer and other essential appointments during closures mandated by the Arizona governor’s office, is utilizing safety precautions per the Centers for Disease Control.
“Safety is of the utmost importance to us. Patients are checked in at their vehicles and staff is wearing personal protective equipment,” Ms. Neumann said. “Temperatures are taken at the door, and each visitor is asked questions about their recent travel. We also use directional traffic within the office and social distancing between patients.”
For those patients who don’t want to go into the office, Telehealth appointments are available using popular online platforms, including Doxy.me, Zoom and Google office.
“We have been surprised at how effective and convenient these types of appointments are. Most virtual office visits are also covered under insurance,” Ms. Neumann added.
Call 623-377-7546 for more information and to schedule appointments for elective and other procedures or Telehealth.
Sun City Dermatology uses a comprehensive and caring team approach to medicine with a personal touch, said Ms. Neumann.
“We treat the whole patient — and not just a symptom,” she said.
Sun City Dermatology is open 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays. The practice provides a mix of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology options to treat any condition of the skin, hair and nails.
