Daughters welcome new member

Posted

Chapter Chaplain Lillian Schauer, of the Estrella Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, administered the NSDAR oath of membership to Estrella’s newest member, Theresa Revering.

This followed her welcome and introduction to the members and guests by Membership Chair Linda Vindick at a chapter luncheon at the Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West.

Chapter Regent Nancy Nixon congratulated Revering and Membership Chair Vindick presented the chapter’s new member packet and yearbook to her. All members have a Revolutionary War patriot who either fought or served in the War of Independence; Revering’s patriot is Abraham Pettijohn of North Carolina.

At each chapter meeting, a member presents a Patriot Minute and talks about his/her patriot’s contributions, war experiences and other information that she has discovered during her research. The accompanying written account and pictures, if available, are placed in the chapter’s Patriot Book. Jenny Burrill is the Patriot Book Chair.
