Cycling Club visits Del Webb Sun Cities Museum
Posted
The Sun City Cycling Club’s regular Tuesday ride Sept. 27 took the group to the Del Webb Sun Cities Museum.
Twenty-five cyclists joined the group and learned about the history of Sun City while seeing the first Sun City model home in the original Sun City retirement community.
The Sun City Cycling Club’s Tuesday rides, in addition to riding the three marked routes that they maintain in Sun City, often bicycle to other destinations in the near West Valley, adding to the fun of bicycling. Sun City Cycling supports local organizations whenever possible.
Sun City Cycling Club rides every Tuesday and Thursday. They meet at the Sundial Recreation Center parking lot, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. October and November rides start at 8 a.m. The club’s mission is to provide and promote safe bicycling events and activities for the Sun City residents and neighbors, provide opportunities to enjoy the camaraderie of group bicycling activities while teaching safe cycling skills and techniques. Additionally, Sun City Cycling will seek opportunities to partner with local groups and organizations to better the Sun City Community and neighboring communities where and when appropriate.
