Robert Wheat believes that AI is the number one issue in our upcoming election. I agree that AI technology is something that may be drastically new and innovative, but I recall when people thought that computers would result in the loss of millions of jobs.
AI may be our worst nightmare, or we might easily adapt to this technology. We will know the answer in the near future.
I am concerned that Mr. Wheat so quickly rejected the issue of abortion as a major issue in this election. Being dismissive of the healthcare of half of our population is not wise. I bet he would take this issue much more seriously if a woman in his life was impregnated by rape or if a woman he loved was facing serious problems with her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Carolyn Copeland again gives us her extreme views on abortion. If a 12-year-old girl is raped, can she be allowed to have an abortion? Lawmakers on the extreme right who provide no exceptions for rape, incest or life of the mother are, in my opinion, cruel, heartless and inhumane.
Ideally, abortion should be a decision involving a woman and her doctor. No man, no government and certainly not Carolyn Copeland should decide what a woman can and cannot do with her own body. The argument that abortion is in any way comparable to elderly people being euthanized is a ridiculous argument.
Ms. Copeland obviously wants us to vote Republican in this election and ban abortions throughout the U.S. I strongly disagree with that assertion, and I will proudly be voting for Kamala Harris and other Democrats so that women can make their own decisions regarding reproductive healthcare.
