Club recognized for charitable work
Posted
In February 2020, the Bell Stitchers received a congressional award thru Congresswomen Deborah Lesko`s office. Her assistant, Giselle Norburt, presented the award. The club was recognized for its charitable work, such as providing clothing for underprivileged children in Maricopa County (deliveries are made to seven local schools and Aqua Fria Food and Clothing Bank three times a year), and crafting items for Hospice of the Valley, local nursing homes, Veterans First, cancer patients, the Navajo Nation and Eve’s Place. Bell Stitchers is a nonprofit organization and accepts donations of fabric and notions. Items made are also sold in the club’s boutique and proceeds help defray the cost of equipment and supplies.
