Casey: Watch out for attempts to get you in Sun City

Though I have been extremely diligent in watching out for scams, questionable emails and phone calls, my bank accounts have been stripped by scammers.
This started when I went online to find out if Hewlitt Packard could help me fix my printer (I couldn’t afford to purchase a new one). I brought up the www.HP screen (where you see several blue, underlined topics and pick one you think will be the best choice). I clicked on one and started talking to the first of three men who said they were with HP and could fix my printer.
Then they told me my computer was very dirty and they could clean it while they worked on my printer. Certainly, I would know if these guys were baiting me. I am not a bigot or racist. However, I’m telling you that, though these men said their names were “jerry” and “Steve,” all of these men spoke with a Middle East dialect.
These men showed me where there were places marked “Hack” on what they said was my computer. I was shown a grainy picture of a man one man said was a Russian man who was working with a “Chong Lee” to try to transfer money out of my bank. The scammer said for me to “stay on the line, don’t hang up, we’re looking for where this scam is coming from.”
Sometime I have to have said something that gave these people information they used to get into my bank accounts. Was I so distracted between talking about my printer, ““dirty” computer, the Russian and Chinese scammer, that I let my guard down and the real scammers caused me to give information that I never would have given? I am totally embarrassed at myself and have been physically ill since this happened a couple of weeks ago.
I have since been told by my bankers, the sheriff’s office, PORA, the Geek Squad and associates that many of their computer systems have been hacked into and money stolen from them in the very same manner. The men they have spoken with were all Middle Eastern.
Most of the people I have spoken to have been too embarrassed to discuss this issue in public to bring it out into the open so we can caution others who think they know what to watch for, know the jargon.
Is their money, like mine, being used in plots against the U.S.?
