Artists by the Lake of Sun City announces the exhibition of more than 30 new pieces, by 20 artists, as the result of the latest challenge titled “Birds.” The showcase and art gallery for Artists by the Lake are located in the Lakeview Recreation Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd. The club room is open 9 a.m.-noon Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursdays and 1-4 p.m. Fridays. The showcase is outside the art room and may be observed anytime. Artists used a variety of materials, such as oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor to explore bird biology in many varied styles. Many of these creations are for sale. Artists by the Lake offers classes in oil, acrylic, pastels, drawing and watercolor for all levels of expertise and experience. Join the club for $10 a year and a valid RCSC card.
