Big Band sound ready to swing Sun City

The Sun City Encores Big Band perform 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at the Paradise RV Resort Ballroom, 10950 W. Union Hills Drive, Sun City.
The Encores have been in existence for more than 25 years and are based out of Paradise RV Resort. The band is a 19-member ensemble composed of professional level musicians. They are configured much like the bands of the ’40s and ’50s, and their repertoire covers music from the ’40s through the ’80s, including such charts as “In The Mood,” “Tuxedo Junction,” “Proud Mary” and “YMCA.”
Tickets are $10 per person and are available at Paradise RV’s activity office or at the door. Water, ice and cups will be provided, so bring snacks or BYOB.
