Bein: No place in evolution for God

Posted

You have asked for opinions from your readers and we have appreciated viewing what our neighbors have to say.

But here comes one — it has to do with God. Our money has printed on it, “In God we trust.” Do we? Who is this God we supposedly trust?

There are many ideas floating around about this being. Somebody that sits back and doesn’t really care what is going on in the world. Possibly he is being ruled out of the picture by evolution. There is no place in evolution for God.

Is there a God who cares at all about what is going on in this world?

Many are saying the government is in charge or is responsible for our problems. They are trying to fix all the problems.

Here comes a little different perspective.

God made the heaven and the earth. He is the greatest authority. All will have to answer to Him. He has laid out some directions, they are called the “Ten Commandments.” Where are those commands in our lives? “You shall have no other God...” Whenever they spend their money, it says, “In God we trust.” But more often they are trusting more in the dollar than in God. Money is being handed out by the government as if there is no bottom. Is my trust in that dollar bill to get me out of my problems? I mentioned evolution. No room for God. There is a difference between right and wrong. God lists it in the rest of the commandments.

Reading in the Bible (most interesting) we get to meet the one true God. Maker of Heaven and earth. Man rebelled against God and ate the forbidden fruit. Sun came and death and troubles came as a result of sin. As one reads the history of ancient Israel, we see them moving away from God and His way. He allowed problems to come their way so that they might see they are wrong and come back to Him.

The problems we are having today with the coronavirus could be His call for us to get back to trusting Him and not what we are able to do. John the Baptist’s message: “Repent.”

I am pretty sure that this will not be printed because of its religious and controversial thoughts. But at least you might hear from another angle.
