Bean Bag Day back in Surprise for volunteers

Residents can show community pride by participating in the sixth annual Bean Bag Day event on Saturday, April 22.
In celebration of National Volunteer Week, Seeds of Hope International Ministries has purchased 6,000 pounds of dry pinto beans for the annual “Bean Bag Day” event.
Participants can help bag bulk pinto beans into individual packages for ease of distribution to those in need through the Valley View Community Food Bank.
The event is from 8 a.m. to noon at Freedom Traditional Academy, 16066 N. Parkview Place.

This event is presented by the Surprise Human Service Community Vitality Department, Dysart Unified School District, Seeds of Hope International Ministries and Valley View Community Food Bank.
