Barro’s Pizza looking to hire 400 workers Valleywide

Barro’s Pizza, a local family-owned and operated restaurant chain that has served Valley residents for more than 40 years, is looking to hire nearly 400 workers in Maricopa and Pima counties.

“So many businesses are struggling to find employees right now, so we know we aren’t alone,” Mike Barro, co-owner of Barro’s Pizza, said.

The company operates 44 locations throughout the Valley and in Tucson, and has two new locations, including Buckeye, opening soon.

“We never thought we’d be in this predicament, but in order to provide the superior product and service our customers are used to getting, we need to fill positions at all of our locations immediately,” Mr. Barro said. “Barro’s is a family-owned and run business, and our employees are part of our family. So if anyone is looking for work, we encourage people to apply with us.”

Positions open include counter personnel, cooks and delivery drivers at all locations, according to a release.

Those interested in applying can contact their nearest location to get more information, or they may apply online at barrospizza.com/employment.

The Barro’s family pizza recipe comes from Grandma Angelina Barro, who came to America from Italy in the 1930s. The family opened its first Valley location in Mesa in 1980.
