Name: Brian C. Baker.

Business name: American Tax Center, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 480-577-5624 or bcbaker6786@gmail.com.

Town/neighborhood: Sun City.

What I do: Tax preparation for individual, business (all corporate entities), partnership, estate, gift, embassy, nonresident and nonprofit. Representation before the IRS and state tax agencies.

What I am promoting: Tax planning, lien and levy release, Offer In Compromise, penalty abatement and tax planning before retirement.

What I like the most about doing business here: I love my clients, love the Surprise, Peoria, Sun City area. I love Arizona!

Changes that I would like to see here: Slow vehicles down (good luck).

Favorite Community cause: Youth education. Helping the less fortunate in our society.

Where I was before and why I left: Just moved here from Fountain Hills. First year in the area. I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, lived primarily in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Arizona resident since 2001.

My Family: Three children, five grandchildren 6 months to age 12.

My Hobbies: Sports, reading tax books (LOL).

My guiding philosophy: “Neither a borrower or lender be, for loan oft loses both itself and friends.”

Advice to today’s youth: Put down the social media and read 1-2 hours per day.
