Art history professor stops to study at Sun City museum

Posted

A professor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison recently stopped by the Del Webb Sun Cities Museum, 10801 W. Oakmont.

Anna Andrzejewski, in the Department of Art History, visited the museum as part of her ongoing research on the history of the architecture of retirement communities. She is currently completing a book on Florida’s post-World War II vacation and retirement communities and came to the museum for a comparable perspective.

Andrzejewski is also working with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, which was related to her visit to the Phoenix area.

The museum is open noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday over the summer. Group tours are available throughout the week, even on days when the museum is closed. Call 623-974-2568 to book a group tour or for more information.
