Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., is hosting two a cappella groups 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22.

Vocal Moxie is what began as a dream of Director Brent Graham, which has blossomed into a collection of women singers who have a common interest in performing a variety of a cappella music. This ensemble not only consists of a variety of ages, but the membership comes from across the country to share their love of harmony. Members come from Maryland, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and several cities in Arizona, including the Phoenix area. Their brand of harmony includes show tunes, jazz and four-part Barbershop.

A Cappella Syndicate has captured the hearts of music lovers everywhere with their smooth vocal harmony. They have become one of Arizona’s premiere a cappella ensembles and are proud of having been named the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Arizona Chorus Champions the past five years. Singing fun and recognizable songs designed to give their audiences an entertaining and unforgettable experience, A Cappella Syndicate is led by co-musical directors Brent Graham and Gary Steinkamp and performs throughout Arizona.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance at the church office during regular business hours (8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday).

Call 623-584-2000.
