Area church announces annual rummage sale

Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., will host its annual rummage sale 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 23.

There will be furniture, household items, clothing, jewelry, kitchen items, linens, books, baked goods, collectibles and more, all inside Smoot and fellowship halls and outside in the courtyard.

Checks will not be accepted; credit cards may be used on purchases more than $25.

A silent auction will be conducted with various “special” items and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, 13-gallon bags can be purchased for $5 to fill with sale items (except jewelry and other selected items).

The United Methodist Men will sponsor a cafe in the patio area outside fellowship hall, open from 7 a.m. until the sale closes.

Breakfast Proceeds from the sale will be given to 5-10 local charities.
