All tickets to the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts’ 20th anniversary season of events are on sale now to the public.

The Wickenburg theater schedules a diverse lineup of artists and this season of 29 shows is no exception. Artists include country, bluegrass, classical, rock and roll, jazz and folk musicians, contemporary dancers, a comedian, and a National Geographic Live speaker who is a carnivore ecologist.

“We pride ourselves on offering something for everyone,” said Webb Center Executive Director Cathy Weiss. Weiss is tasked with curating each season of performances. The Webb Center’s goal is to present all genres of the arts and engage different segments of the Northwest Valley.

“We serve a very diverse community,” she stated. “We have those who love country music and those who love classical music. We aim to serve them all. We also hope to expand their interests by introducing audiences to new genres and unfamiliar artists.”

A sample of artists who are new to the Webb Center stage this season include Toronto-based Indigenous dance company Red Sky Performance, who will participate in a two-week “Made in Wickenburg” artist residency program and offer a free performance Nov. 6. The theater welcomes piano and cello chamber ensemble Ekstasis Duo; Gypsy jazz and swing band The Black Market Trust with their Rat Pack-style humor; We Banjo 3 who will entertain with their traditional Irish and Celtgrass medleys; and a frequently requested group, The Mavericks, who will be here for two nights during Wickenburg’s annual Gold Rush Days festival.

Sheléa will help paint the town red on Valentine’s Day with a vocal range that soars to the legendary heights of Whitney Houston in a romantic blend of pop, jazz, R&B and soul music. In March, audiences will have the opportunity to meet the first-ever professional female Portuguese guitarist, Marta Pereira da Costa, and energetic tap dance company Dorrance Dance.

The Webb Center’s ticket return policy will be very flexible this season.

“If an audience member does not feel comfortable attending an event for whatever reason, they may receive a full refund of the ticket price,” stated Box Office Manager Stephanie Fornoff. “We want to give theater goers the confidence to buy tickets now, knowing that when the event approaches they can return them and get a refund if they choose.”

All tickets for the 2021-22 season are available for purchase. Tickets start at $20 and $5 for youth 18 and younger. Call the Webb Center’s Box Office at 928-684-6624 to reserve seats or visit dewpac.org for a full schedule of events, artist information and to watch video previews.
