The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said Lawrence Cooley, 91, has been found dead inside a car that was partially submerged in the Gila River.

MCSO made the announcement Friday night, stating in a release that he was found near 123rd Avenue and Baseline Road by the Gila River Police Department.

There are no signs of foul play, according to MCSO.

Cooley was last seen about 11 a.m. Nov. 21 near 91st Avenue and Union Hills in Sun City and was driving a white 2018 Nissan Rogue.

MCSO said he had a medical condition that caused him memory issues and may cause him to appear disoriented.
