2-day Palo Verde Art Show and Sale coming to Sun City

The annual Palo Verde Artists Judged Show and Sale takes place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21 in the Palo Verde Art Room on the upper level of Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103 Ave., Sun City.

Only artwork from Palo Verde Artists members will be exhibited. There will be a Judge’s Choice ribbon and a People’s Choice ribbon awarded. Voting for People’s Choice will close 2 p.m. Saturday.

Categories include: oil and acrylics on canvas or board; water media, including acrylics on paper, tempera, etc.; miscellaneous, pastel, mixed media, collage, abstracts; portraits, any media; and drawings, ink, pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, etc.

At the discretion of the judge, first, second, third, and honorable mention ribbons will be given for each skill level (beginner/intermediate, advanced, professional) within each of the categories.

There will also be a Judge’s Choice ribbon and a People’s Choice ribbon awarded. Voting for People’s Choice will close 2 p.m. Saturday.

Entries will be accepted 8-10 a.m. Thursday, March 19 at the Palo Verde Art Room. Up to three original paintings completed within the last two years may be entered.

Membership in Palo Verde Artists is $10 per year and is open to RCSC cardholders only.
